Important information for consumers. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you cannot waive under Norwegian law, including digitalytelsesloven, angrerettloven and the e-commerce rules.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are the current provisional agreement between you and Charon Universe AS, org. no. 938 272 093 ("Charon Universe", "we", "us"), governing your access to thesispartner.no and the Service. By actively accepting these Terms when creating an account, reaccepting a materially updated version, placing an order, or accepting an institutional invitation, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Mandatory consumer law always prevails.

"Consumer" means a natural person acting mainly outside a trade or profession. "Business Customer" includes universities, schools and other organisations. "Content" means material you submit to the Service, including thesis text and documents. "Mandatory consumer law" means Norwegian and EEA rules that cannot be waived to your detriment.
You must be able to enter a binding contract. You must be at least 18, or have parental or guardian consent if younger, unless mandatory law allows otherwise.
You are responsible for your login credentials and activity under your account. Keep your password secure and tell us promptly about unauthorised use.
ThesisPartner is a bilingual English/Norwegian Bokmål thesis-writing support and formatting tool. It provides word-limit configuration, university formatting templates, and structural and word-count guidance. ThesisPartner does not write, draft, edit, translate or generate any part of your thesis and does not provide AI-generated or human-edited written content. It is not a supervisor, teacher, examiner or editor, and does not guarantee any grade, approval or academic result.
Your thesis must be your own work. You are responsible for complying with your university's academic-integrity, citation and external-tool policies, and for checking current university requirements. We do not represent that use of the Service satisfies a particular university's rules.
University-specific templates and word-limit presets are maintained on a best-effort basis and may be out of date. They are guidance, not a guarantee. Verify current requirements directly with your university before submission.
Word counts, warnings, over-limit notices and formatting templates are indicative aids. Check them against official requirements before relying on them. Because the Service generates no thesis content, your thesis remains your own academic work.
You keep ownership of your Content. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, store and process it only to provide, secure, maintain and support the Service and meet legal obligations. We do not publish your Content or use it to train an AI or language model.
The software, templates, presets and platform design belong to Charon Universe AS or its licensors. You receive a limited licence to use the Service. You retain ownership of your thesis and original material you input.
Do not use the Service unlawfully, infringe rights, submit personal data without a lawful basis, disrupt or probe the Service, circumvent limits or security, scrape our data, or build a competing product.
The current individual Pro offers have catalogue prices of EUR 10 for one month, EUR 50 for six months, or EUR 90 for one thesis for a maximum of 12 months. The one-month plan may be purchased once or, when offered at checkout, renewed monthly until cancelled. The six-month and whole-thesis plans are one-time purchases. For Vipps purchases in Norway, the latest available published EUR/NOK reference rate from Norges Bank is used when the order quote is created. Before payment, we show the EUR catalogue price, indicative exchange rate, applicable MVA/VAT, and exact total payable in NOK. Payment may be processed by Vipps MobilePay or another approved payment service provider. We do not store full card details. The provider's own terms may also apply. Norwegian MVA/VAT and other taxes are added only where required by applicable law and our registration obligations. ThesisPartner stores a durable purchase confirmation after verified payment.
A one-month customer must actively choose monthly renewal at checkout; the choice is never preselected. If chosen, the displayed monthly price is charged through the approved payment provider each month until cancellation, and the customer can cancel before the next charge from their account page. Without that choice, the one-month plan is a one-time purchase. The six-month and whole-thesis plans never renew automatically. Access ends when the paid period ends, or for the whole-thesis plan when the covered thesis ends or 12 months have passed, whichever occurs first.
A free plan or trial never converts automatically to paid access. We do not charge you unless you place and confirm an explicit order.
Consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act. If you ask us to start a digital service during that period, we obtain the consent and acknowledgement required by law. Send withdrawal or refund requests to support@studentspartner.com or by post to Charon Universe AS, Smedgata 15A, 3050 Mjøndalen, Norway. Legal review may refine the standard form and service-start wording.
A primary student may invite one second student to a partnered thesis. Each student uses a separate verified account, but both may view, create, change and delete Content in that shared thesis workspace. The primary student controls the applicable purchase, subscription and partner access, and may remove that access. Removal does not transfer ownership or delete the primary student's thesis Content. Personal profiles, credentials, billing information and other theses are not shared. The students are responsible for coordinating edits and complying with their university's rules for jointly submitted work.
For an institution, the institution is responsible for authorised use and payment, and a data processing agreement may apply. We share only the usage statistics and metadata permitted by the applicable agreement, not your thesis Content by default.
Personal data is handled under our separate Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice. Thesis Content is processed only to deliver the Service, retained only as needed, and not used for unrelated purposes. Where we process data for an institution, we act as processor under a GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement.
The Service may link to or integrate third-party tools. Review their terms and privacy information independently.
We aim to keep the Service reliably available and give reasonable notice of planned maintenance. We may improve or change the Service, while preserving the rights Consumers have under mandatory law.
Price changes apply only to future purchases unless mandatory law permits otherwise. Each material Terms version is identified and requires active reacceptance at the next login. Changes required by law or security may take effect sooner where necessary.
We may suspend or limit access when necessary for security, unlawful use, non-payment after notice or legal compliance. On termination, you may export Content for the period stated in the final Terms before deletion or return under the Privacy Notice and any DPA.
For Consumers, we supply a digital service that conforms with the agreement and maintain it as required by digitalytelsesloven. If it is not in conformity, you may have the remedies provided by law, including correction, proportionate price reduction or termination.
Except for mandatory Consumer rights, the Service is provided as-is and as-available. We do not warrant that a preset or template matches a university's current requirements or that the Service guarantees academic acceptability.
For Consumers, mandatory law applies. For Business Customers, any permitted limitation of indirect loss and total liability will be completed after legal review. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Business Customers indemnify us against third-party claims arising from their Content, breach, prohibited use or infringement, except to the extent caused by us. This does not apply to Consumers.
Norwegian law governs these Terms. Consumers keep the protection of mandatory rules in their country of habitual residence and may use the complaint routes provided by law. Business-customer venue is to be completed after legal review.
If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue. We may assign the Terms in a reorganisation or business transfer without reducing your rights. A final language-precedence clause will be added after legal review.
